I've never tried steroid injections into my nods - again, I had psoriasis since the age of 8 or 9 and was on a lot of topical steroids, so I kind of shy away from them now.

As far as everything I've read and heard, no. It may be in some family genes, but not contagious.

acuta (habermans) and that what I thought for another 20 years until I came back home from az where I was diagnosed. I just visited my PCP and she saw them and told me to come with her, there was a dr sitting in her chair who just happened to be the head of derm at UMKC and she showed him my outbreak, glanced up about 20 sec and said no you have PN. and thats how I found out!

I have been diagnosed for several years and just recently had another pn on one of my eyelids! I have one in a fold of one ear and probably like most of you, have had private areas infected, too. I find it weird how both my arms are affected, along with my scalp and neck, but the pns are only on one hand (over and over again) and one leg!
