Thanks Carla, I watched. Shawn was wonderful and I am grateful for your post, the best I have seen, I actully contacted him. I see no gaslighting coming from Shawn, he honestly wants to help and is doing the research, God bless him on many fronts.

I watched all there was because of your question. It was the same gaslighting we get from all the dermatologists but the truth is it is not our fault. Read the symptoms of “acne fulminans” and I believe you will find all the symptoms we live with along with the joint pain, the muscle pain, the body aches, and the all over feeling of not being well. I need a dermatologist that has pn to help us a person that would really know what we go through and what to do about it. We who suffer know more about pn then most dermatologists I believe. Sorry I am not happy that all of us have this curse and that there is no cure…yet. I care about all who have this not just myself, be strong.

Wow, I have to share this as if you type in Prurigo Nodularis Dr. Shawn Kwatra, several good videos popped up, & the first one I watched was just so very interesting as it's profile page is Heathy Skin Show...Prurigo Nodularis How to Stop That Crazy Itch. Jennifer Fugo does an interview with this skin specialist, Dermatologist Dr. Shawn Kwatra, w/John Hopkins, & I should rewatch, but if I am not mistaken it was their group that in 2015 that they found what that crazy itch was & was identified as the PN. He said this disease had been unrecognized before then which I can attest from that after seeing 8 Dermas, & 1 Allergist. Also, vaccines can be the cause of it, plus other types of things that create this horrific disease. I found out it is an immunology & neurological type of disease. Makes total sense to me now, as I was diagnosed with the beginning stages of Shingles which the Derma gave me the Zostavax Vaccine that I found out after the fact, it was a very ineffective vaccine, and now give Shingrix to patients. This was 15 years ago, and approximately 1 month after I developed like the most itchy, horrible like mosquito bite on my scalp. The Derma barely looked at it and said Eczema. Well, my scalp is now covered in the so-called Eczema, LOL which I have asked the 8 Dermas, & 1 Allergist if this was a result from the Shingles I was diagnosed with, and they all said "NO"! Well, the dreaded vaccine was my culprit as after viewing this video as it so well explained it all, & more! HOPE IT IS HELPFUL because I do know now that my gut instinct was most positively correct!!🤗

I am not sure, but I assume if it decreases the itch-scratch cycle, spots/lesions/nodules would become less inflamed and decrease possibly in size as to whether there is a full healing, I doubt that part as it is not a cure at all. IMO, the less itching & scratching would just all be worth it to me cuz my arms get tired from holding them up to my scalp where PN, LOL! Also, less possibility of the pain, soreness, & the crust (aka Lichen Simplex Chronicum). I know if it helps to stop the PN scaring, the less you will go bald on your scalp, bonus IMO. You could possibly do more research on that new drug coming out which is Nemolizumab manufactured by Galderma or even find the link (website) for Johns Hopkins Hospital, Dermatology, they could help answer your question.👍

So this new drug is only supposed to help with itching? what about stopping the actual spots/lesions/nodules from appearing. Mine will open up and turn to scabs without itching so stopping the itch is only one small part of the problem.
