Does Anyone Else Have Temperature Control Acceptance/regulation Issues?
Whether it's warm to cool or cool to warm, it's like most of the time I am either too warm or too cool. No matter time of year, or what meds I'm on, or what I do or do not put on my skin.
I had Raynoid Syndrom in my left leg several decades ago after a very bad accident. I ended up getting a Left lumbar Sympathectomy to restore circulation. No longer have issues with that.
Exactly! Diane, Jennifer, Arnie, Georgia, Marina, Tamara, & Heather, thank you for your responses. I had thought hormonal, but it's not just hot, and from being around other women going thru hormonal changes, it is not hot flashes. They have reasons for changing to hot or to cold, but my body does not adjust & regulate so it accepts the change.
Mine has been thru different meds, so it is not from taking one medicine.
Thank you Arnie for responding, which shows it's not just women who are having this. And yes, hot and especially humid us the worse ever! Straight to the shower to wash sweat off, then right in front of a fan.
But winter is a pain to warm up without going haywire.
Well you know what they say some like it hot !! And some like it cold and no matter what you do you get warm lol!! I have to say that because I am with you Tina I go from one extreme to the other and my sores are like what are you doing to me you cover them up and then I uncover them ..
I don’t think it’s a disease I thinks it’s our body’s being just as confused as we are …

Hello one & all
That must be a terrible thing 2 deal with- not acclimatizing 2 your environment ( hot or cold) even when sleeping My heart goes out 2 all of U
As if with the PN & many other comorbidities U dont have enough 2 deal with & treat I'm not familiar with Renauds disease, but it sounds absolutely awful/ horrendous
Luckily I havent experienced the temperature problem -- yet I was lucky 2 not get hot flashes during menopause thankfully just mood swings & severe insomnia (The sleep disorder iis still ongoing 20 years later unfortunately) but thankfully there is a medication 4 it as my mom suffered from severe insomnia as well; so probably genetic
Take care everyone
Hope 2025 is full of hope & joy 4 everyone
Take care❤️
Understood, Tina. The heat affects me as well. The dilemma is balancing the heat(sweats) to feel cooler and comfortable without stimulating the Reynaud's. I push fluids and adjust layers of clothing depending on my response. Additionally, my husband and I have very different internal temperature regulation settings so we do our best to meet in the middle.
Have Anyone Try Natural Path For PN? I Wonder If Help
We Need To Know What We All Have In Common In Order To Actually Deal With This Disease. .. Not Just Cover It Up With Drugs Or Other Methods?
My Dermatologist Prescribed Acetylcysteine This Past Week. It Is An Otc Pill. Have Any Of You Used It?
