- Mental Health: PN can impact your mood and mental health. Many people with PN experience depression, anxiety, and feelings of shame. It's important to seek mental health support and practice self-care.

- Tracking Symptoms: Keep a journal to track your symptoms, triggers, and treatments. This can help you and your doctor understand what works best for you.

- Specialists: You may need to see various specialists, such as dermatologists, endocrinologists, nephrologists, and others, depending on any comorbid conditions.

- Self-Care: Managing stress, maintaining a healthy diet, and getting enough sleep can help manage PN symptoms. Weather and environmental factors can also affect your skin, so consider using a humidifier or dehumidifier as needed.

- Treatment: There is no FDA-approved treatment for PN yet, but your dermatologist may prescribe a combination of therapies like corticosteroids, antihistamines, and phototherapy.

- Advocacy: Advocate for yourself and ensure you have a supportive healthcare team to help navigate the ups and downs of living with PN.

Taking these steps can help you manage your condition more effectively and improve your quality of life.

Yes. Don't dwell on negative thoughts about it. If you have a good and proactive dermatologist then keep him or her. Start talking about Dupixent now and have them check on benefits to see if you can qualify to get on it. It's a bit aggravating with lots of calls to Sanofi the manufacturer but it's worth it. I have read that it's the # 1 treatment for it. I qualified and recently got approved. My first injection was @ the doctor's office on January 17th of this year. The lesions are drying up and fading away! Patience is the key to getting approved and waiting for the visual results. Hang in there.

There isn’t a cure at the time. What works for some doesn’t work for others. Fine what helps you out and hope it does not get real bad! Keep it under a minimized and try to stay on top of it constantly to control less pain itchiness and so on.
