Me too, when the clueless ask me whats up with all the sores on your legs? I tell them its a non-contagious form of leprosy to get their attention, then follow with one word Prurigonodularislichensimplexchronicus......and tell them no calmine lotion does not help, dupixent is expensive and lobotomies are no longer covered

I agree. I’ve just had it for less than a year. I have cortisone ointment and itch ointment from my dermatologist but they are useless. The worst thing for me is once they are a sore it’s takes forever to heal.

Ladies, It takes forever for the sores to heal. I had sores on my right leg that NEVER seemed to go away. I wear slacks at work so nobody could see the mess my legs were in. Finally after years of this on my leg it finally cleared up, but I have scars. The ones on my thighs and butt clear up in one area and break out in another area. I can't seem to get rid of this. I am not giving up and neither should anyone else. I avoid baths. Showers are helpful and the doctor recommended HIBICLINS Antibacterial wash to use in the shower. It helps fight infection and any fungal bacteria. As far as traveling outside my area I will, if I can find the right Doctor. I did go to Stanford University Medical Center at the Dermatology Clinic and saw a doctor there, but he really was no help and made me feel like an idiot and rushed me thru the appointment. He didn't offer to do any biopsies..nothing. I was more frustrated when I left and it was a 2 hour drive to get there.. also I waited 4 months for the appointment. Doctors teach there on 3 days and see patients on 2 days so it's a wait and hard to get in. I can find another Doctor there or just drive up to their emergency room...whatever it takes to get a team of doctors to see me and get to the bottom of this. There is also UCSF, and in some ways I think it's a better hospital with doctors. Another thing, I had Covid and have had already taken 7 vaccines, two of which have been boosters. I had a serious case of Covid Feb. 2022, and vaccinated. It was so bad I was off of work for 6 months on disability. I am also dealing with Long Covid issues, and feel this PN played havoc with my immune system or vice versa.

The one thing that helps relieve the dry nodules for me is lipbalm.
It softens the skin around the nodule, and relieves the pain , and reduces the dry skin, that causes the itch.
