My prurigo lesions are on my outer thigh and my dermatologist said they follow along the path of the nerve there. That nerve was damaged when my hip was replaced and believe it or not the skin on half of the thigh is still numb -- 10 years after the surgery.

Amen! How did you get your insurance to pay for it? I am trying to get on the Dupixent but no way will my insurance step up and do what is right . I hope the new med is favorable & heals the scaring for you. Take care.

I had shingles in the scalp years ago as well along with many reoccurring episodes. But the car accident I was in in 2021 bounces me around pretty bad and seemed to trigger the shingles again with pain along with the “ no see I’m” bites that triggered this whole world of pain

Yeah, I am a believer of this as my very early stages of Shingles almost 15 years ago, I believe was the culprit that affected my nerves as one Derma amazingly did believe that he compared it to like an electrical short in a vehicle! The anti-vaccine Zostavax was given to me which was later found out not to be effective so it stopped the blistering, burning, itching, and horrific pain of my onset of Shingles, but evidently damaged or affected other nerves! Just horrible to deal w/this on my scalp! BTW, wouldn't you think a Neurologist might be able to treat nerves, hmmm? Guess not, as one reviewed my medical file, and said he didn't think he could help me, ho hmmm, and is a U of U specialist in Neurology!
