I Have Heard That PN And Other Skin Conditions Along With Hair Los Or Thinning Have Been Linked To The Covid Vaccines.

I thought it was odd that my dermatologist hardly reacted to this rare condition. That made me think that there other patients that have this too.
I also had a current blood test. What markers are there to show that there could be an underlying factor? Any help appreciated

I really don't know if mine has anything to do with the Covid vaccine. I got vaccinated 3 times and then got a sinus infection that lasted 6 months and all the antibiotics crashed my immune system. Shortly after that, bam, nodules on my arms, chest and back. I take Adbry injections ever 2 weeks in the stomach. I give them to myself here at home. The Adbry controls the itching for most of the 2 weeks, but a day or 2 before I'm due for the shots the itching returns.

Same here…biopsy taken which confirmed PN. I started Dupixent in Oct. I’m still itching but hopeful. Just not convinced the Covid vaccine had no connection.

I didn't get mine till after my frist covid vaccine which I was against. About that arm started breaking out. Then both my legs. Now everywhere. I did just recently got I Dupixent. 2sd shot two days ago. Stomach pain and cramping near the site. But have noticed it is helping. I was told there is blood work for this. I did a biopsy, that test is how I was diagnosed

To Mary 222 & Dianna2. I first got nodules in November 2022 & still have PN but in January/February 2024, I lost about 90% of my hair which is devastating. Ironically I always had strong healthy skin & hair. Wigs are uncomfortable & can rub which is the last thing a PN sufferer needs. When I don’t wear wigs, I cover my head with hats, baseball caps as it makes you so self conscious to have wispy hair & bald patches. I am seeing a Derma about it in August & currently having phototherapy for my skin. Totally get what you are both going through ☹️.

To Mary 222, I started losing my hair shortly after developing PN, I have lost 1/2my hair and it is so emotionally painful. My hair has always been a pride thing with me as I was a pale blonde, now I am about pure white, but losing so much of it is quite a blow to the psychic. My hair ties won't even stay in!! So sad and depressing!! I'm with you girl! Here are some 🤗 hugs for you!!
