Wow, these crater nodules, big as a nickle under my arm and spreading. These flare ups are a nightmare . I am so afraid of infection. Here's hoping for all of you!

I do hope this itch nightmare subsides for you soon. First time I heard about clove powder and I will keep it in mind. In my personal experience, stress can set off the itch scratch cycle for me. When I'm really bad, I find an epson salt bath in warm (not hot) water with either oatmeal or baking soda or bentonite clay can really sooth the itchy skin for me. In fact, I decided to soak in the tub every night until I heal. I have healed before, but it's been really hard this year as I also go dermatitus on top of the PN and controlling the itching has been a challenge. Also, I came down with shingles twice in 2024 so it's been a real banger of a year healthwise. Probably the best thing that happened was I read a shingles book from more of a naturopathic doctor who talked about diet, supplements, tub soaking. It really helped relieve the shingles and I'm keeping up with the protocols as it seemed to be helping to control the itch which has gone down quite a bit. And why not? PN doesn't really have a known cure so I'm going to continue with the protocol hoping it will heal my PN and dermatitus. Book is called The Shingle Solution by Julissa Clay.

I'm now in a flare that doesn't respond to much, other than taking benedryl and when bad itching starts on my arms, I put liquid bandage on them and top it with clove powder. Yes, it burns like heck at first but is taking the zinging out. It's been my only relief the past few days. It has been pulling off the thick heavy scarring, then I'm back to a crater lesion with silos. It's better than that gosh-awful itching that drives me crazy!
Thank goodness for a person on here talking about clove powder. Sounds totally crazy, but...
