I had the same thing sev6years ago once again to due blood pressure medication bit I think gout can be caused by other-different things
Glad you don't have any issues with your blood pressure
That's a very good thing
Take it easy
Bye for now
Thank you so much Mary for your Response and sharing your own experience . I have no history of high blood pressure and it is just my big toe that is swollen in a very weird way and the skin on the side of that toe and top of my foot is numb and at times tingly which seems to me a nerve issue. . Its a mystery but I will share what the outcome( If there is any xmclarification) after my bloodtest and xrays.
Thank you Mary. 🥰
Martina hello
Just read your question
I did have swollen feet and toes ,(aka edema-swelling due to water retention) for a couple of months but it was due to the blood pressure medication I was taking do my doctor switched me to a different pill -a diuretic with removed excess water from your body so now my feet arent swollen anymore thank goodness
The severe fatigue could be anemia as I was diagnosed with that as well around the same time as this PN started just before the new year
Whether they are related or the PN caused the anemia who knows. But it is strange that both ,illnesses occurred at the same time ( as well as severe,/ extreme hair loss,)
PN is a mysterious-/mystery disease for sure
My family doctor had no idea what it was
It wasn't until he finally referred me to a dermatologist that she did a biopsy and had the PN diagnosis.
If PN is an autoimmune disease which doctors dont seem to know for sure yet --,it obviously can cause other illnesses like anemia etc as the body attacks the whole immune system in various ways
As everyone on this group chat explains there are many comorbidities that seem to go hand in hand with the PN unfortunately
Its a strange illness for sure and no one guaranteed solution or medication to treat it -yet
Maybe someday for future patients
Fingers crosses
And toes as well if they're not too swollen lol🤞
If you do take a blood pressure I'll it may be the cause of the swelling in your feet at least that was my doctors assessment and since switching meds -no more swelling thank goodness
The human body is an amazing thing when it works properly but when it doesnt it seems to have a whole bunch of ramifications for other body parts as they are all linked and intertwined somehow.
Take care
Bye for now
Keep us updated as to what is causing your new symptoms
I'm sure you have a good doctor and dermatologist
