I'm sorry you are having such a difficult, frustrating time! I was a hair stylist for 17 years, and One product I know will work in your case, Is tea tree shampoo! It will help your scalp by clearing up the skin cells that build up. Also, it has menthol component that will cool and smooth. And most of all, it is great for the skin as well. It's a calming affect. One of my biggest mistakes, was using shampoos on my hair that irritated my skin..I wash my hair separately now, for many reasons related to medical issues, but try it! I really hope it gives you some relief.. Always reach out when you are feeling overwhelmed...This is a great group of people, with a lot of HEART...

@A MyPrurigoTeam Member I too am sorry you are having all of that all wrapped up together! For me, I know that sometimes when doing something to help one thing, it might aggravate something else. Have you tried an Aveeno oatmeal bath, a bath with some bleach added to it, or an Epsom salts bath? One of those might help a little. Just close your eyes and try to relax for a moment.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing these symptoms. Here are some key points about prurigo nodularis (PN) that might help:

- Scalp Issues: PN can affect the scalp, leading to intense itching and the formation of nodules. Scratching can cause these nodules to break open, bleed, and potentially lead to infection or scarring. This can also damage hair follicles, resulting in hair loss.

- Bumps on Chest, Face, and Legs: PN nodules can appear anywhere on the body, especially in areas that are easy to scratch. These nodules can vary in color and size, and they may be very itchy or painful.

- Itch-Scratch Cycle: The more you scratch, the more you itch, which can lead to more nodules forming. Breaking this cycle is crucial in managing PN.

- Thickened Skin and Scarring: Over time, excessive scratching can cause the skin to thicken and scar, a condition known as lichenification or hyperkeratosis.

It's important to consult with a dermatologist to discuss your symptoms and explore treatment options that can help manage the itch-scratch cycle and reduce the formation of new nodules.
