Has Anyone Found A Specialist Yet That Will Treat You W/Nemluvio?

A MyPrurigoTeam Member asked a question đź’

The 2 in my area just treat you with Dupixent! One of the two indicated their Derma is very educated on PN and LSC, however, he does not treat with Nemluvio. Hmmm makes no sense to me as Dupixent did not help me whatsoever so I am hoping the specialist I have an appt w/in Salt Lake City, UT will be able to treat me w/Nemluvio! I swear our area is so behind the times! I know it requires prior authorization & hopefully she will be able to help me! I so hope the rest of the sufferers w/this… read more

As far as what Dupixent and nemolizumab treat it is different interleukins. Dupixent blocks IL-4 and IL-13. Nemolizumab blocks IL-31. They are both biologics.

Insurance coverage. That's the big issue. We do have Nemluvio at the Panama city Dermatologist.

I just had my appointment with my dermatologist and was educated on Nemluvio. Here’s what I learned:
You have to mix it yourself but that’s not difficult. It requires only 1 application a month. It hurts less. It’s helpful in fading scars faster. It lessens itching better. The side affects are “cleaner”.
Because it’s fairly new, she didn’t have any results on how her patients are feeling about it. I have opted to stay on Dupixent for 6 more months until my doctor has more feedback from her patients but I’m feeling optimistic. It’s not a cure, but I feel we are heading in the right direction.
Keep the faith ❤️

When on Dupixent I guess my Allergy Doctor put me in for Patient Assistance Program, and zero cost for me, and with the Nemluvio as Dupixent did not help whatsoever, I put in for the Patient Assistance Program through the Galderma the manufacturer, and also zero cost for me, thank goodness!
