Members shared practical strategies for making Dupixent pen injections less painful, with the most common advice being to let the medication warm to room temperature for 45 minutes (or even overnight) before injecting and to choose the stomach over the thigh as an injection site since it tends to hurt less. Several members described experiencing significant joint pain as a side effect of Dupixent, affecting areas like fingers, shoulders, knees, and hips, with one member having to discontinue the medication despite its effectiveness for prurigo nodularis because insurance denied further coverage after the side effects occurred. A recurring theme was the difficult trade-off between managing unbearable itching and sores versus enduring joint pain, with members encouraging each other to report new symptoms to their doctors promptly rather than waiting to see if they continue.

I take the Dupixent pen myself. I usually do it on the top of my thigh or my stomach. It doesn't hurt at all

I don't think there is a difference in the injection site but you do have to rotate sites.
