I had generalized hairloss evenly over the scalp 2 months after covid in june 2020. Took 2 capsules called Priorin (in Sweden at least, but could probably be bought online) twice a day for 3 months and the hair grow thicker again. 2 months ago the same hairloss started approximately 2-3 mo after a real bad PN flare on my buttocks. So now I´m taking Priorin-capsules again and hope it will be as effective as last time. You can also buy Priorin schampo and conditioner, but I think the capsules are better.

@A MyPrurigoTeam Member YES! I have PN on my scalp & face. I also have been diagnosed with alopecia. The PN scabs & keratin plugs have exacerbated my alopecia. The hairs got trapped under those nasty crusts and could never get out. I have naturally curly hair that curled & tangled & ratted knots under my skin and under those nodules. It has been one of the most painful experiences I have endured. 7 topicals, Jak inhibitor, Dupixent (Mast cell inhibitor) 35 weeks (stopped due to eye blurriness & eye aches), now Ebglyss (IL inhibitor). Found Eucrissa ointment worked very well on my face and using it on my scalp as well. 5 years of seeking treatment and I am finally about 95% healed. As those PN's come out - all of the "dreadlocks" are able to come out. (Ingrown hairs coming out of skin is one of the best feelings ever!) I have very little hair (& only 1 eyebrow currently) but feel hopeful for the first time that I might actually get to have a pixie cut one day that don't have huge sores & scabs. I look forward to the day I don't have to wear a hat to cover my ugly head.

I personally have gone thru times of hair loss while in a flare, and without itching or nodules/lesions there at that time. I also went thru some hair loss when scalp had massive lesions due to taking Rinvoq. The hair loss stopped when I stopped taking it, and when flare done.

If it was hereditary, wouldn't you know that information? I understand if a person is adopted, etc, but, why else would you ask them that...?
