The immune system is complex. I have multiple autoimmune conditions so when I was diagnosed with PN I was not surprised. I viewed PN as another hit to my already fragile system. Why no cure? It takes time and extensive research. Many other diseases have not yet been cured. ALS and various types of cancer come to mind. How can we help? If there is a clinical trial in your area, and you are eligible, volunteer for it. You could be the person who contributes to the answer.

Gail, thank you for your efforts! I've been a researcher and it is painstaking work. Hopefully, at the very least, we each find a treatment plan that is successful.

So it could be just a side effect for a different problem?

I am retired. However, that doesn't hinder me from researching topics online. I hope by continuing to review and research, I can help someone and maybe myself.
