I’ve had this disease for about a year on my scalp. Misdiagnosed a few times. Cold showers snd ice packs help with pain. You also don’t want to wear pony tails or clips if the pain is too bothersome. I’ve had kids so try your best to not scratch and pick. Try a zinc or menthol type shampoo to help with the itch. Scalpicin may give sone temporary relief (available at the store). Keep your nails cut short and keep yourself busy! I’ve also tried to cut out sugars, dairy and gluten as much as possible. Spicy foods may cause a flare so you may want to avoid.
