Does Anyone Have Multiple Hard White Bumps In Spot That Was A Healed Lesion?
I have where 'healed' lesions were, and now I'm getting multiple hard white bumps in same spot, that are hard to get out, then have really hard crusty around where it was, that like digs in kind of like a really thick splinter.
I have little white spots that looks like a pimple with a hard core. Does anyone take Dupixent and is it helping you I am on my 6th week. My arms are better but my legs are about the same. I know I have to be patient and give the medicine time to work. This is a devastating disease. My dermatologist really can’t pin point how I got it. God bless you all that have PN
I have been on Dupixent twice. The first time I wasn't on it too long. Was still getting the lesions. Finally got in to see "the best dermatologist in the area" and he diagnosed neutrophilic dermatoses or Sweet's Disease. I was so happy that I finally had an answer! He put me on Dapsone and told me my lips and fingers may turn blue. It affects the hemoglobin. Anyway it didn't help and I felt terrible. Went to Cleveland Clinic and they didn't give me a diagnosis but didn't think it was Sweet's. The Dermatologist suggested Dupixent again and I agreed because it at least helped with the itching. Been on it for about 6 weeks. Meantime a friend of mine got me in to see another dermatologist. He diagnosed the PN which I agree with him because he described it to a T. I have to put a over the counter antibiotic wash on the lesions twice a day and use an antibiotic ointment in my nose and on my crotch area. Meantime I am hoping Dupixent will work. From what I have read it takes 4-6 months to see any difference. PN is also called Hydes Disease or Pickers Disease which I can see why. I have finally started putting band-aides on the lesions so I don't "pick" at them. I am also doing light therapy which Cleveland Clinic advised. I had tried that before but they said it wasn't strong enough. A nasty disease. They don't really know that much about it or how to treat it.
Ohhh I didn't know that alcohol. Mine was on my arms & legs. In August it went into my scalp. Dermatologist said it was folliculitis. Wrong! Today I had steroid injections on my lesion on my scalp. Noticed a big difference right away. Not so itchy. Know she is going to try me on Kenalog injections and a stronger antihistamine. Heat really makes it worse. I'm going yo start to take Vitamin D3. As I live in Canada our winters are cold. I guess they treat with Vitamin D.
I adding my 2 cents in for those who have a hard time controlling the chronic picking. I use ConvaTec DuoDERM Hydrocolloid bandaids. They are expensive but not only do they heal the lesions faster but they keep me from picking them. Probably because they are so expensive I don't want to waste them. They are water proof too so you can shower with them. I have noticed if I can keep them on for 5 days most of the lesions are healed. I just bought another brand that is less expensive but have not received them yet.
Thank you for summarizing the damned thing so succinctly. It helps to have at least the illusion of control.....
Any Body Ever Put Aloe Vera Gel (straight From The Plant) On A Purigio Sore?? I Just Did On Two That Weren't Healing.
Has Any Notice That Your Sore Come Back In The Same Spots Mine Seem To Heal And Then A Few Months Go By And They Are Back . Any Thoughts?
Does Anyone Know How To Treat The Spots That Are Harden Skin And Very Painful? The Skin Eventually Dries And Peels Away But Comes Back Hard.
