Not that I know of. It can cause anxiety & depression (in my case) because of hoe horrible my arms looked. Thankfully I went to an allergist. I wanted to make sure that I wasn't allergic to anything. Came back no.....no allergies. She put me on super high doses of meds and nothing worked. I asked her if we could try the Kenalog shot and by that evening I had no more redness, bumps or itching (the worst) . It's been almost 2 months and I'm fine now!

I must add I have chronic kidney disease. Have had for probably 20 years. Always have had sensitive skin and eczema. This is the first I have been diagnosed with PN. I thought it was my fault for scratching. I do pick at it at night.
I will remain positive I am 75 and plan to spend the rest of my life happy and full of joy. If you need encouragement let me know. I was so embarrassed by this skin thing now that I know what it is I will deal with it 🙏🏻🤣🌸

I find it very upsetting. The pain and itch ,I don't think you sleep well. It's exhausted.

I think having this thing can cause all manner of mental and emotional side effects. Depression for sure.

Depression can cause fatigue and no motivation. I have hoshimoto’s hypothyroidism as my underlying condition also a vitamin D deficiency they both contribute. I’m always tired and sluggish.
