Dupixent, How Is It Working For Us On The Forum?"

A MyPrurigoTeam Member asked a question šŸ’

After months of using cyclosporine, oregano and mint ointments, and topical and systemic corticosteroids, etc, well, you all know a bit about the treatments, I started Dupixent yesterday. I've read that it can bring improvements within a year, but it doesn't seem to cure completely. It might just partially reduce the itching and make the disease's progression less severe. Is anyone else using it? What expectations should I have? Are there other treatments with better results? I haven't triedā€¦ read more

If in your case the issue is related to proton pump inhibitor medications, there are treatments to restore kidney function as far as I know. It would be amazing if improving your kidney function could help you get out of PN! šŸ¤ž
I've read that they're treating some PN cases with microbiota. I can't find the article right now, but it's supposed to help with underlying problems. That would be fantastic

Dupixent isnā€™t a cure but for me it has helped with healing and itching. The only thing that has given me the best results so far.

I have been on Dupixent since April 2023 and methotrexate since 10/22. I also take a daily folic acid tablet. My arms wetre absolutely covered in nodules. Today, 11/19/2023 I have zero nodules on my right arm and only three on my right arm that are almost healed. It has been an absolute miracleā¤ļø I make sure to keep them moist with alternating vaseline, Mupirocin, polysporin. Rotating seems to help more. If they itched really bad I would put CVS Lidocaine Wound Gel on them. Relieved itch immediately for a while. I also found not touching and covering two at a time would really speed healing on those two. I could pick and scratch away at the others but at least I was healing some. I hope everyone sees the results I have. Back to sleeveless shirts againšŸ’ƒšŸ’ƒ

Iā€™ve been on it for about 8 months. I would say that itā€™s working somewhat, but certainly not a cure. I find that the best Rx I have tried is the SUN! (Although risky for other reasons, of course).
