They still pop up whether I touch them or not!
I use “Drunk Elephant” brand “Kamili” cream almond body wash, charcoal soap and mild herbal soaps.
I actually think I had this on my scalp for many years. My physicians said it was from stress. I have had a very stressful decade of life-changes & that in addition to my thyroid disease & anxiety, might have been a contributor to it migrating to other parts of my body.
So I use Olaplex products on my hair which is extremely soothing and have had a lot less since I’ve been using their products.
I find that swimming in salt water dries all but the worst of them out & I feel half human so
I recently tried a small amt of baking soda in a bath w/sea salt and no itch for one night! It’s a good skin purifier but you don’t wanna do too much of that because you could get yeast infections from sitting in a tub with this lol! Maybe a waterproof, bathing suit bottom in the tub?!! it actually could also cause bloating. Always something!
I just received my orders of almond oil, vitamin E oil, dead sea salt & epsom. I’m trying homeopathic recipes on my body in small doses before jumping in a bathtub. The water can’t be hot because that can irritate our condition so unfortunately it’s not as pleasant as a nice hot bath. Luke warm seems to be OK. My skin feels good in saltwater so I I’m trying to use this as my winter regiment.
Here is another way I both cover the irritations & feel better, I don’t know if this will work for everyone but dermablend camo make up that I wore to cover them when I had some social engagements last summer actually stopped the itching and inhibited spread. I don’t know if that’s because they were being suffocated? I’m going to buy more and see if I use it regularly if it halts the progression & eases the pain & itch.
This is war! It hurts my sleep, my peace, my skin which I used to get comments on being beautiful and soft! Don’t let PN define you! I won’t let this demean me. I just wish there were safer alternatives than steroids, antihistamines & prescription drugs that potentially have bad side effects.
I will share what I discover with my topical recipes!
ALL BE WELL 🙏🏻

It doesn't matter if I scratch or not. Stress and emotions are huge physical trigger. If I can clear up my forearms anytime soon, I think I will be getting sleeve tattoos to cover my scars

@A MyPrurigoTeam Member you might try making a sugar scrub with sugar added to a little dilution of epsom salts & baking soda dissolved in aloe and shampoo (or even a light-weight hair oil). That way you can put the paste directly onto your wet scalp and then you would not be sitting in the salt/sugar water. Primary ingredient would be sugar so you wouldn't sting your sores with the salts. The sugar scrub could gently exfoliate and will dissolve in the shower.

What part is the "plaque" and how do you exfoliate?
