I have Sjogren's disease, Reynaud's disease, Hashimoto's thyroiditis, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis. So many comorbidities. I also have mixed connective tissue disease and chronic pain. I also have an implanted intrathecal pump with medications to control the pain. I think what I learned was to advocate for myself, be prepared for physician's visits, and try to stay positive. It is very tempting to isolate because you don't want to interact with others and don't want to view their reactions. I refuse to be hampered by others opinions. When I want to go out; I go out. My feeling is why let any disease control me? I try to determine what physician will respect my views and goals and who is best equipped to help me.

Hi Debbie ~. Most of us have at least one other condition. I also have Raynaud's, rosacea, asthma, COPD. I also have neuropathy, surgery on my back then on my shoulder.
I believe the neuro part of it is the worst, for me, kind of like an ice pick into the tissue, then feeling like spider arms of pain rippling. I know, that's a nasty description, but the best I can come up with that's simple.

I have Raynauds, Multiple Sclerosis, PN, and RA. Between myself and three siblings we have 32 autoimmune diseases. I think I have been dealing with them all for so long I just don’t let it get me down. This is not to say I don’t have bad and very bad days. A doctor said to me after my MS. Diagnosis, “it is a long disease, don’t burn people out.” I was young and thought HOW RUDE!!! It did turn out to be the best advice I ever received. I keep alot to talk about besides, the diseases, so that when I need some empathy and compassion, I can ask for it. Lol, I do not run around like Pollyanna, I just keep balance and moderation.
