Do You Follow A Specific Diet To Help With Prurigo Nodularis?
A good diet is always a great idea, however PN (IMHO) is totally unrelated to foods. Something has gone awry internally. And that generates the itch/burning and scratching. Which causes anxiety, depression and a constant senses of dread about not knowing how to deal with this life destroying plague.I don’t know what it is but I believe mine was triggered by a mosquito bite about 20 years ago. My life was hell for 2 decades and I tried EVERYTHING to deal with it. For almost 3 years now I have been on Dupixent and thanking God every day for it. I am 99.9 totally free of PN. This clearly indicates that Dupixent is targeting the right thing, I just don’t know what that “thing” is.Also I have discovered that using Castor oil on legs and driest skin has really helped.
Fasting and prayer has helped tremendously. Cutting out sugar, processed and fast foods has been a contributor. Spicy foods also and anything prepared outside my house that doesn't grow out the ground has largely been eliminated and I'm definitely experiencing a huge difference. Tremendous difference!! ❤️
That's the hardest part for me is not picking at them. I don't even realize I'm doing it.
I haven't really noticed a change in my food but I have been eating more healthy recently and they have been improving except for when I pick at them
I have tried over the past 2 years to cut out every food I can imagine, including caffeine and alcohol. Nothing seemed to make a difference. I do try to eat healthy, but as far as I can tell food doesn't seem to be a trigger ...I wish it were then I would know what to avoid.
