Do Any Of You Have A Secret About These Sores That Go Way Down?

I have a bunch under my upper forearm full of fluid but a core too. I know it's a no no but until the core is out, it won't go away. Epsom salts, baking soda, dig? They sure hurt when the fluid builds up!

For me, I usually drain it myself. It hurts alot and can cause scarring, but mine just always come back if I don't do that. And it is incredibly painful so I feel you on that!

The best thing is to go to the dermatologist and have them take care of it, but if you have out-of-pocket costs I understand not being able to. Mine gives me a shot directly into the infected nodule and then usually prescribes tacrolimus cream to put on for a few days. Within a week it is fully healed. I find those deep infected ones tend to pop up in the same place because the skin is already damaged so not scratching or picking at those recurring spots is vital.

I just got back from the dermatologist. Two shots of cortisone in the arm pit,the rubbing of clothes plus a nurse putting a sticky bandaid on really caused lots of trouble. Only a cloth bandaid I was told. I got my first shots of dupixent too. Here's hoping! She told me the new med, nemo...same family as dupixent. Hurry up and wait but I couldn't even hold a book! Fall is falling in Ohio but the trees aren't going to be too great its been so dry. Oh well!

Spot on, Melanie. It hurts like the Dickens to get out usually, but for me, it is the only way for them to heal up.
Being on Nemluvio, I am seeing them heal, and ones that are staying nodules, are finally so I can get those white underneath to come off and heal. At least so far.

By core do you mean the little hard white thing in the middle? That's what I have and I squeeze it to the top then take tweezers and pull it out. Usually will dry up and go away after I do that. If you don't once it heals you will see that white speckled under the skin and will flare back up. It resembles a corn/callus seed.

Thank you! I saw a nurse practioner Monday. No shot. The regular doctor gave me one on the right side and it cleared up. My doctor is only here once a week, guess it is time to find a new one! I have been draining but you are so right. Pain and getting it all out! I have a bunch. Does it hurt. I don't know what I would do with out you all, blessings!
