I just started on Nemluvio 04OCT24.
I loved Dupixent, but breathing is not an option.

Hi Carrie ~ Congratulations on starting Dupixent! I hope it works wonderfully for you. For me when I was on it, it took only a couple weeks to notice a change in the itch and the healing to start too. From all I have heard from, there is a wide variety of response to the drug, some quickly, some it doesn't do anything, and me, it worked great, up until almost a year and it kind of like crossed my asthma and copd, I couldn't breath. After the second time, I stopped taking it, and thankfully no new responses of that since. My understanding is I am rare in that aspect too, as I have both. The medicine is great for people with asthma, and now they state copd... but not both. I wish I could have stayed on dupixent. Best wishes on a great response for Dupixent!

Sorry to hear it stopped working for you. Can I ask what you take to treat everything now?

Yes ~ For some reason it like crossed the 2, and I could not get air in or out, it just closed! Asthma by itself there is usually warning wheezing, short of breath. COPD, I choke, can't get air out. That's why I said it kind of like crossed them. They say dupixent is for people with asthma as a treatment, they now say it's for people with COPD... I do not hear or read anything about having both. Most medicine for one or the other has warnings if you have the other.
If you only have asthma, I think you'll be fine with it, going by what I've read n heard. Some people take dupixent for asthma.
