If You Are On Dupixent And Have For Over 6 Months, Are You Having Any Side Effects And/or Is It Clearing Up Your PN?

A MyPrurigoTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have PN and recently RX'd Dupixent, had many side effects after second injection. Is it really working great for other patients of PN, and have you seen Dupixent make a big improvement, and are you having any side effects? Please don't answer if you haven't been on Dupixent for very long.

My dermatologist recommended Dupixent after my punch biopsy indicated that I had PN. I was using it for almost 5 months. I had no improvement whatsoever. I had to regroup and with my dermatologist's input investigate alternative treatments.

You are definately having bad side effects from Dupixent. Have you tried going gluten free diet, avoid sugar, corn, dairy? These also help relieve the itch I find. For me, getting lots of rest and sleeping through the night without itching really helps heal the nodules. Most of my itching is worse at night so being able to sleep all night without itching is very important part of healing. Doesn't sound like the dupixent is working all that well.

I started Dupixent back in December and have had many side effects (painful joints, painful teeth, hair loss, and quite a bit of weight gain. Most of the side effects went away about 4 mos in, except the weight gain (my hair is filling in with baby hair.)
Dupixent helps with the severe itching I have been experiencing, and some improvement with the nodules. I was hoping it would have been a significant improvement, but would have to say it's only been about 30% better.
