Every one of my sores have these shards in them. I have s few on my face that just wont go away because I cant get it out. Mine will not heal until it is fully removed. Sometimes it seems like there are many inside and they go deep. But, once its out its immediate relief and the soare heals up within a couple days.

In my case, being on my scalp, it varies as the LSC (Lichen Simplex Chronicus), aka crusty leathery scale type buildup happens sometimes daily or every other day which is caused from the chronic intense itch scratch cycle. The LSC encases the PN, & no relief until scale is removed but only for a short time, then becomes inflamed, & then starts all over again.😱
