I totally agree with testing it first. It could make it worse.
And I would suggest testing it in a not so visible place before that day, to make sure you're not going to have a reaction to it. Have a great time!
I have not, but you might look for makeup to cover tattoos. My child covered a world map on her back π€ͺ for a wedding, and you could not see the tattoo.
