My Dr Is Switching Me From Dupixent To Rinvoq. Does Anyone Have Experience With Rinvoq?
I have never known that there was medicine (such as pills or shots available) I've only used topical treatment . I am hoping for the best for you!
I was on dupixent, taken off because of side effects, even though it did great with the itch, lesions, nodules. But I have asthma and COPD, and I believe it played together and stopped any air from going in or out. On to Rinvoq, for me, it gave me bad digestive issues, but the stopper for me, was that it created massive amounts of crusty lesions on my scalp where I could not run a comb through my hair in shower with conditioner on it. Like most drugs, especially all these newer fancy ones, there is a lot of different reactions to them, this is only my reaction.
For me, it's keep trying until I find something that works and side effects I can deal with.
Maggie, I'm happy that you learned that there are alternatives. If the topical are not providing sufficient relief, then you have some direction.
I have been on Dupixent and Rinvoq. It didn’t help me. I have started Adbry so will see if this helps.
Lo, Dupixent was not effective for me. My dermatologist and I are in discussion about alternatives. She did inform me that it is not an easy process and it involves trying options to determine which will be the most effective for me. Rinvoq is under consideration. As with any prescribed medication, the side effects as they relate to you and your co-morbidities must be considered. Good luck.
