Would you please tell me what ratio bleach to water you use for spray? Thanks.

I wake up scratching sometimes but I started wearing gloves to bed. Truly, the fingernails carry bacteria (staph/strep) fungus, tetanus, even pin worms.. When I became a nurse we had to keep our nails cut down, as well as only 1 ring wedding band for this reason. lol, my nurse the other day in the ER had tattoo’s from forehead to feet and piercings every where. However, her nails were cut low and clean, and I didn’t die. Because the nodules are already open they are susceptible to whatever is on your fingers and nails. That being said, I can see, you can wake up scratching with your gloves on too.🤪🤪

@A MyPrurigoTeam Member yes, I just went thru another stage of them large red enflamed nodules that itch and have the neuro stinging from it. I put liquid bandage on the nodule and then clove powder, which calmed it for me. A few days later I would spray bleach water on the nodules in the shower, which helps the hard outer layer come off, which then let the new skin layer out and itching to stop.

Even if your nails are clean, I was told they still harbor bacteria (per dermatologist). That's why she recommended NAC to decrease the urge to itch, short nails, and gloves if need be. She told me if you avoid itching and picking, you decrease the risk of infection. Then she told me to take Benadryl for the itching and if that didn't work, she would prescribe another medication. The infection was not fun at all!
