Why Do Some Eruptions Itch So Badly While Others Stay Dormant?
Sometimes two or three places itch terribly while none of the other patches itch at all
After almost 20 of riding this PN train I have come to some opinions. I have tried many suggestions and approaches. PN is not a result of diet or environment. It is a protein some how switched on that normally would not be. PN is similar to mycelium, ( imo ) the nodules are connected to each other deep within the skin layers. It seems this protein creates the itch and we scratch and this in turn creates the swelling , hard core and top. The cycle is one of itch, scratch, bleed, relief. Then the burning /pain cycle begins. My most resent attempt at control was very helpful. Organic oregano, 1 drop under tongue x 2 a day, it greatly subdued the inflammation. I also take about 20,000 Vit D3 at night. I did this for several months with a good deal of relief. Most recently I have been approved for Dupixent. I had my first 2 shots this past week. So far not much has happened and I was told it’s about 3 months before noticeable improvement. I have found it to be a user friendly medication, no side effects. I will continue with oregano and D 3 as well. I will post any changes as I will have my injections every 2 weeks.
We never know what someone may be dealing with so be kind to yourself and to others.
Hello
I have been on the duprixent since December no change , the only side effect I have had is my thyroid it’s not happy now . The doctor put me on a vitamin called NAC 600mg two times a day . He said it’s old school I will let you know if it works . I am going to try your metas well .
So encouraging to feel your proactive status. Best wishes for you finding more relief
Do they itch on one side at a time too? Like left arm today, right arm tomorrow?
Great question I have the same thing 🤔
