Dupixent helps reduce inflammation and immune responses, but it may not stop new nodules immediately. Discuss this with your dermatologist—they might consider adding or adjusting treatments, as combination therapies (like topical steroids or other agents) can sometimes be more effective. Patience is key!

There is a nationwide issue with health care. Some of the speciality practices have been adversely affected by it. That leads to longer wait time for appointments. In addition to the shortage of specialists themselves, there is a shortage of support staff for the physicians. Does the practice have a patient portal for messages? If so, use and see what happens. Use the voice mail system as you have been. I usually give the physician and staff maximum of 2 work days, and then leave another message. Keep your messages polite and to the point. Reserve details until you speak with someone. No one hates to be a pain, but remember the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Rely on this website for information, education, and support. Most importantly, don't give up!

Did you contact the dermatologist to ask if you can use an OTC or a dermatologist prescribed medication to treat the breakthrough nodules?

After 3 weeks,”due to the holiday season “ I received a voicemail telling me any moisturizer would work, cerave, cetaphil, etc. I’ve had so much trouble out of this doctor…. I have an appointment with someone else at Modern Dermatology, but it’s going to be 4 months!!! I’m losing it! Seriously I think I need a psychiatrist now after all this…. Sorry I’m down, I’m hoping for answers soon.
